Thinking has launched the TVG series, a cutting-edge over-voltage protection component combining metal oxide varistor (MOV) and gas discharge tube (GDT) technologies in a compact radial-leaded package.
This integration enhances surge current capability, minimizes leakage currents, reduces power consumption, and extends service life compared to conventional MOV devices.
The TVG series operates across 150–550VAC and 200–745VDC with surge current ratings of up to 10,000A in compact sizes (Ф10mm and Ф14mm). It also withstands temperatures up to 125°C, making it suitable for harsh environments.
The TVG series is ideal for applications requiring high surge protection, space optimization, and elevated temperature performance, including solar inverters, EV charging stations, industrial equipment, and telecommunications.
By leveraging the high insulation resistance of GDT, the TVG series minimizes MOV degradation, enhances reliability, and reduces power consumption. Its low capacitance maintains signal integrity, and the integrated design optimizes efficiency and space utilization compared to discrete MOV and GDT setups.
